The food was amazing! We had lumpia and I had the mushroom bao. My only complaint about the mushrooms were that the smoke kind of overpowers the flavor. My puka punch was phenomenal. The drinks are pretty pricey, but they do have a happy hour menu. The service was excellent. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly.
The drinks were really good and so was the food. I went here starting at happy hour and stayed for longer. The mint-pineapple sorbet and Banana Banshee were my favorite two I had. The bartender was really nice, too.
Excellent cocktails in a well appointed tiki bar, very friendly staff and food that's far better than it should be. Fast service, ridiculous garnishes and delicious libations. Occasionally have mugs for sale. Thanks for the send off shots! We will be back
Owned by tiki legend Jeff "Beachbum" Berry, this tiki bar does not disappoint. The Polynesian-pop decor is spot on, with many vintage mugs and artwork throughout. The food is mostly small plates and made with care. I had the oyster rumaki salad and the musubi on my first visit of my trip. Over the course of three visits during my short stay in NOLA, I had 8 or 9 different cocktails, and all were well crafted and beautifully garnished. The bartenders were very friendly and knowledgeable. Nothing but praise for Latitude 29, my favorite bar in New Orleans and in my top 10 tiki bars in the country.
Been wanting to go here for forever and finally made it out. Their Mai Tai wasn’t anything to write home about, but the Latitude 29 was delicious. On their seasonal menu, I order the Holiday on Ice.... That thing was like a White Russian on steroids. Perfect nightcap drink, and I will have to figure out how to make it at home. The Brussels sprouts were also tasty
A must visit any time you are in New Orleans. Drinks are authentic, string amd the food is just unreal too. Servers and staff are knowledgeable and committed to the owner Jeff. I will always come back.
One of the best tiki bars I’ve ever been to The drinks are creative, extremely tasty, very well presented and quite boozy. We sat at the bar two nights and and the bartenders gave wonderful suggestions I highly recommend the pandan painkiller!
